Observations from Alan McNish

Afer his first stint in the Porsche GT1 98, Alan McNish had the following observations...

"Overall, I'm happy with the car and its balance. We had no major difficulties. I've got my markers mapped out for the first six hours of the race...beyond that, the conditions and our situation in the standings will dictate what we do.

At the beginning of the race, the Toyotas passed us like we were standing still. They're determined to lead the race from the start, so we'll see what happens.

I fought the BMW early on and passed him, but it surprised me when he got me back. I finally got him by the Porsche curves and made it stick, but their car is quick."

Note: McNish's car #26 is currently running fourth behind two Toyota GT Ones and Porsche car #25.
